recent information and being able to trust the evolution of technology.
What we know about led bulbs today
They have a lifespan of over 30,000 hours for the most efficient.
Light tint and IRC
Many shades are available with color rendering indices between 80 and 96 (100 being the IRC of the sun, the closer we get to it, the better the colors are returned). These CRIs are very good above 80 and excellent above 90.
There are all colors of light (blue, green, red, yellow …) then different whites: 2700k, 3000k, 4000k, 4200k, 4500k, 5000k, 5500k, 6000, 6400k, 6500k …
During their life, the (quality) LEDs lose their intensity very slightly. This loss is so small that you won’t notice the difference.
Bulb size is no longer a concern. On our site, you will find many bulbs with dimensions extremely close to that of halogens. The shapes and their powers will make it possible to modify old lighting without causing any problems.
The technologies used have varied such as the type of SMD led . Many types of SMD have been put on the market: 5050, 3528, 4040…
The COB led which is more and more efficient and the COG led or otherwise called filament. The latter offers an appearance very close to our old bulbs that many of us appreciate!
The price of bulbs
Often described as exorbitant, their price has now dropped significantly! Indeed, if you consult our ranges, you will find there always decreasing bulbs and bulbs sold in lot for always more advantageous prices. For example, a set of 10 E27 bulbs of 10W or equivalent to 60W halogens are at 49.90 €, or 4.99 € per unit! Slightly above some halogens, they are however very profitable in their lifetime! One bulb against 10 halogens minimum.
We confirm it, a led bulb lights up instantly! They are therefore perfect for passageways and exteriors.
A led does not light up
False! All recently manufactured bulbs have light wattages as indicated on their packaging. A bulb or even an outdoor projector are very powerful . There are even led candelabra heads. The maximum power offered on our site is 150W led or 750W halogen! With absolutely correct dimensions!
For large power bulbs 18W equivalent to 100W, their dimensions are 65 mm in diameter for 125 mm in height.
The led bulb heats up
Yes the led heats up but much less than an incandescent bulb. It will not burn but will be hot for the great powers. For small powers, the bulb will be warm or even cold.
To understand: a halogen bulb converts only 10% of the energy received into light against 90% into heat.
LEDs convert 30% into light and the rest into heat. Certainly, heat is emitted but in much smaller quantity.
In the case of a 4W led bulb, only 70% of 4W emits heat. For its halogen equivalent of 40W, 90% of 40W is converted into heat!
Finding the best bulb is therefore not impossible but being able to find a bulb that matches what you are looking for, with the latest technology is one way to find that bulb.
The best led lamp will be the one that will perfectly match your needs, the one that evolves with new technologies and the one that will be sold by a trusted site and offering high quality new products all year round!
